The Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary presented their annual gift to the hospital Monday night. The check this year totaled $325,000. The gift brings the Auxiliary’s total support of Greenville Regional Hospital to $5,268,016. Auxiliary President Boyd Vieregge told WGEL it wouldn’t have been possible without dedicated volunteers and a supportive community:
The gift will be used to fund projects in 20 different areas of the hospital, including electric beds, patient room recliners, an ultrasound, and microscopes. $6,000 of the Auxiliary’s gift paid for the Boyd’s Bears program, which provides a teddy bear to each infant born at GRH in honor of Dr. Boyd E. McCracken.
