The Bond, Fayette, Effingham Tri-County Spelling Bee was Monday, February 23 in the Mulberry Grove Elementary School Gym. Elementary School Principal Annette Hartlieb said the Spelling Bee went twenty rounds to select four students to advance to the regional.
The four winners are:
First: Ashley Thompson, seventh grader from Teutopolis
Second: Crista Barenfanger, seventh grader from Mulberry Grove
Third: Abby Stock, eighth grader from Sacred Heart School in Effingham
Fourth: Evan Oakley, eighth grader from Greenville
These four students will advance to the Regional Bee Saturday, March 21, at Eisenhower High School in Decatur.
