Staunton Woman Dies In Car Crash Wednesday Night

According to Illinois State Police 37 year old Rebecaa Brandt of Staunton woman was killed Wednesday night in a two vehicle crash on snowy roads in Madison County. Police says Brandt was driving westbound on Route 40 near St. Jacob when she lost control of the vehicle, and spun into oncoming traffic, and was struck by an eastbound pickup truck. Two people in the pickup were transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The accident happened just before 6PM on Wednesday. The ice and snow yesterday evening caused multiple accidents in Bond County, but none were reported with injuries.
