Officials with the City of Vandalia are looking into potential changes to the Sixth Street railroad crossing, which was the site of a tragic accident that claimed the lives of Crystal Anna, of Greenville, and three of her children in late October.
Vandalia Mayor Rick Gottman told WGEL more about the project:
Gottman said the city has rejected the idea of one-way streets around the area and would prefer to install additional gates at the crossing.
