The Bond County Board met Tuesday night in regular session and made several appointments.
Lenard Moss, Jr. was appointed to the Robinson Cemetery Board for an unexpired term ending in December 2019.
Connie Stoecklin and Kristine Walker were appointed to the Bond County Housing Authority Board, each for a five year term.
The board announced an opening on the Greenville Airport Authority Board for a five year term.
The board voted in their last meeting to tender a contract offer to Union 622, a labor union consisting of employees in the Bond County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, State’s Attorney, and Circuit Clerk offices. The board announced Tuesday that the union had voted unanimously to accept the offer and it would be considered passed once official documentation was received.
In celebration of March for Meals Week and Month the board issued a proclamation, which detailed the importance of the Meals on Wheels program, which is operated in Bond County by the Bond County Senior Center.
