Bond County FFA Chapters Place First And Second In Environmental FFA Competition

Thursday, March 19, was the Illinois Lincoln Land Use Council of Soil & Water Conservation Districts area Envirothon competition in Springfield. Teams from Bond, Montgomery, Christian, Macoupin, and Sangamon Counties were invited and FFA teams from Greenville and Mulberry Grove competed. The five-member teams were tested on Aquatics, Forestry, Wildlife, Soil, and a Current Events Issue-Urban Forestry. The Greenville FFA Chapter placed 3rd overall and 1st in the FFA division. The Mulberry Grove FFA team placed 4th overall and 2nd in the FFA division. The Greenville FFA team will advance to the Illinois State Envirothon competition April 28 in Monticello, Illinois. Congratulations to these two Bond County FFA teams.
