The Bond County Health Department held its Annual Hospice Volunteer Luncheon and Awards Ceremony last week.

Dominic Goggin, of Greenville, was recognized as the Hospice Volunteer of the Year Award. Goggin is a junior at Greenville College pursuing a degree in pre-med studies. He also recently obtained his license as an EMT. Goggin is also a recent winner of the “Point of Light” award given daily to outstanding volunteers throughout the nation by the Points of Light Organization.

Dan Cochrane, Heather Durr, Dominic Goggin, and Wilma Brown were all recognized as new volunteers to Bond County Hospice.

Longtime hospice volunteers were recognized for years of service milestones. Pat Sutton and Reva Smith were honored for 30 years of volunteer service each. Cookie Langel was recognized for five years of service.
