IDOT: Rt. 127 Project In Beginning Stages, Complete In September

A new Illinois Department of Transportation project on Rt. 127 through Greenville is in the very beginning stages. The work will stretch from Sale Barn Avenue near I-70, along Harris Avenue, north up Third Street, down the hill on College Avenue, to Patriot’s Park just west of town.

Brian Williamsen, spokesman for IDOT, told us about the work scheduled to be done:

Williamsen said the roadway will never be totally closed, but you can expect to see lane closures at various spots along Rt. 127.

IDOT plans to wrap up the project in September.
