In their meeting Monday night, the Kingsbury Park District Board approved their FY 15 Budget, 4-to-0. The board also approved the expenditure of up to $10,000 to the consulting firm Lakota for helping the park district further amend the strategic plan portion of their master plan for the future of the KPD.
In his report, Director Jerry Sauerwein reviewed results from committee meetings, which included raising summer pool pass fees and field fees by $5. It was announced the district will soon be forming tumbling and Martial Arts classes to be held in their new building that also houses the district office. The board approved the purchase of mats for this purpose at a cost of $5,197.50 plus shipping.
