Mulberry Grove Firefighters Battle Truck Fire


Mulberry Grove Firefighters responded Friday morning at 3:53 to a report of a vehicle fire on Rt. 140 about half a mile west of Hagarstown. According to Fire Chief Dwight Volkmar, the 1991 Ford Ranger pickup truck was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and is a total loss. The truck was in a field about 200 feet off the road. The cause of the fire is undetermined. There were no injuries and firefighters were on the scene about 45 minutes.
