Outbuilding A Total Loss Following Fire South Of Keyesport

Keyesport Firefighters responded Thursday, at 7:59 a.m., to a report of a house fire on Robin Lane south of Keyesport. Upon arrival, crews found an outbuilding rather than a residence, fully engulfed in flames. Keyesport Fire Chief Jim Golder told WGEL the structure was a portable shed and was a total loss. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Wheatfield, Mulberry Grove, and Greenville firefighters were requested to provide mutual aid with tankers and manpower. The call for Greenville crews was cancelled, but Wheatfield and Mulberry Grove personnel did respond.

No one was injured in the blaze. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
