Vandalia Police Search For Suspect In Holiday Inn Express Burglary

The Vandalia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in the investigation into a burglary at the Vandalia Holiday Inn Express.

According to Vandalia Police, the suspect entered the Holiday Inn Express at approximately 2:53 Wednesday morning, March 11 and created a distraction to get employees away from the front desk. The suspect then allegedly stole money from the register and the employees.

Police say they do not have a vehicle description at this time, but are working on reviewing surveillance video, hoping to find additional clues.
