Comets Give Back Friday

This is Character Education Week at Greenville High School, an annual celebration that culminates with Comets Give Back Day this Friday, April 24th.

Throughout this week students have observed “dress-up days”, celebrating various types of heroes. On Monday, students dressed as Marvel Comics superheroes. On Tuesday it was DC Comics. Wednesday’s theme was Disney Heroes. On Thursday students dressed like Every Day Heroes, such as police, firefighters, EMS, and military. Friday is Blue and White Day.

Greenville High School Teacher Lorna Stowers told us Friday is also the annual Comets Give Back Day, where student volunteers take the day off school and work with local charities. Click below to hear more:

Comets Give Back Day will end with a special ceremony at 3:00 p.m. at the high school. Businesses, charitable organizations, and individuals from throughout Greenville have been invited to attend. Stowers told us a representative of the Honor Flight program will be in attendance to accept a donation from students. Click below to hear more:
