Bond County Clerk On General Election Turnout

Election day Tuesday went smoothly, according to Bond County Clerk Randy Reitz. All ballots cast by voters were counted and results known before 9:00 p.m., less than two hours after the polls closed.
Voter turnout was low, with only 16.29 percent of the registered voters casting ballots.

Reitz talked with WGEL’s Jeff Leidel about election day:

There were 12,233 persons registered to vote in Bond County and 1,993 cast ballots.
