East Peoria Man Electrocuted Near Washville

An East Peoria man was electrocuted Thursday, April 2, near Walshville. According to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, a 911 call was received Thursday, at 4:09 p.m., of an unresponsive person at 5002 Lost Mile Road northeast of Walshville in Montgomery County. Sheriff’s Deputies and Litchfield Ambulance personnel responded along with the Montgomery County Animal Control to restrain a dog.

Property owner Roger B. Wilsdorf, age 43, of East Peoria, was located deceased on the property. Evidence at the scene showed Wilsdorf had been working with electrical wiring and it is believed he died from accidental electrocution. The local utility company responded to ensure scene safety. Montgomery County Coroner Rick Broaddus pronounced Wilsdorf deceased.
