Greenville City Council Approves New Roof For Montrose Abbey Mausoleum

The roof at the Montrose Abbey Mausoleum has been leaking and is in need of repair. The Greenville City Council addressed the issue Tuesday night and approved a new roof for the mausoleum to be put on by Joiner Sheet Metal and Roofing.

The new roof will cost $32,350 and much of that money will come from the insurance settlement that resulted from a truck damaging a statue in the cemetery a few years ago.

City Manager Dave Willey told the council the mausoleum is in pretty good shape for its age.
