The 13th annual Bond County Historical Society Quilt Show is Saturday, May 2, in the Greenville Free Methodist Church on Rt. 140.
More than 100 hand quilted, machine quilted, wall quilts, and antique quilts will be on display. A quilt block contest is part of the show again this year. Seventeen entries, with the theme “200 and Counting,” in honor of Greenville’s Bicentennial, will be showcased.
There will be a “bed turning” featuring quilts made by featured quilter Betty Boehm. Quilts will be stacked on a bed and as they are removed, a member of the Creative Stitchers Guild will share stories about each quilt.
The show will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and the admission fee is $3.00. For more information, call Wanda at 326-8451.
