The Greenville Regional Hospital Foundation annual meeting was held Monday night.
The main topic was the hospital’s discussions with Hospital Sisters Health System to explore affiliation with HSHS.
Two representatives from HSHS spoke to foundation members. One of them, Brian Reardon, HSHS public relations officer, stated the system is pleased that the Greenville Regional Hospital Board has reached out to seek the affiliation.
During the event, the late Dr. Boyd E. McCracken was recognized for his many years of medical service to those in and around Bond County. Doug Stroud was honored upon his retirement from the hospital board after 22 years of service,
The foundation re-elected Bart Caldieraro and Leonard Taylor to the hospital board. Brian Nall, hospital president and CEO, said Stroud’s position on the board will not be filled at this time because if the affiliation with HSHA is completed, a representative from the system will be placed on the local hospital board.
