According to information from Greenville Regional Hospital CEO Brian Nall, the Board of Trustees and Directors of Greenville Regional Hospital passed a resolution urging Senator Kyle McCarter and Representative John Cavaletto to support hospitals and oppose Medicaid cuts. According to calculations by the Illinois Hospital Association, the Governor’s budget proposal cuts Medicaid funding to hospitals across Illinois by nearly $800 million. Nall said “We are urging our state legislators to work with us and the Illinois Hospital Association to consider and enact workable and reasonable alternatives to these devastating Medicaid cuts.” GRH employs 375 people with an annual community economic impact of $75 million.
