They’re known as E-tickets and police in Bond County are now issuing them through a computer system linked to the circuit clerk’s office.
Bond County Circuit Clerk Rex Catron said he has been working for about four years on a program that allows police officers to issue computer-generated traffic citations. He noted there are many advantages to electronic citations. Click to hear more:

The new system is currently used by deputies in the Bond County Sheriff’s Department and will soon be used by the Greenville Police Department.
