New Rating Should Lead To Lower Insurance Rates In Greenville Fire Protection District

The Greenville Fire Protection District has good news for many property owners in the district. Fire Chief Bill Johnston advised that the Insurance Service Office has decreased the rating for the district which should lead to lower property insurance premiums for property in Greenville and within five miles of the city.

Chief Johnston said the new rating could also be of assistance in business recruitment.

Chief Johnston told WGEL the new rating should go into effect this summer. He said property owners can then discuss it with their insurance agents. Johnston expressed his appreciation to all public entities that were involved in achieving the new rating.
