Unit 2 Students Involved In Numerous Performances In Coming Weeks


Music students throughout the Unit 2 School District have a busy few weeks ahead of them…

On Friday April 24, the Greenville High School Select Choir will perform at the Bond County Humane Society’s “Puttin’ on the Ritz for Fritz” fundraiser at the Presbyterian Church.

On Saturday afternoon, April 25, the GHS Music Department vocal recital will be held at 12:45 in the auditorium.

The GHS concert choir and jazz band will perform Sunday, April 26 at the Habitat for Humanity fundraiser concert at the Free Methodist Church. The event begins at 6:00.

Greenville Elementary School will host a fifth grade talent show Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the GES gym.

Saturday, May 2 marks the GHS Music Department Spring Concert. The event is free and open to the public and will be held in the high school auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The GHS Select Choir has been invited to perform with the Greenville College choir in the James E. Wilson Recital Hall on Sunday, May 3. For more information on that event, contact the GC Music Department.

The Pocahontas Spring Concert will be held Monday, May 4 in the Pocahontas School gymnasium beginning at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, May 5, the Sorento Spring Concert will be held in the Sorento School gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.

The Greenville Junior High Band and Chorus Concert is scheduled for Monday, May 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the school gym.

On May Tuesday, May 12 third through fifth grade students at the Greenville Elementary School will hold their spring concert in the Junior High gym. Second grade students will sing the National Anthem. The concert will be preceded by a Unit 2 Academic Foundation fundraiser cookout on the school grounds at 5:00 p.m.
