The 13th annual Bond County Historical Society Quilt Show on Saturday was a success with about 160 quilts on display.
Featured quilter Betty Boehm brought 64 of her quilts and several were used for the “bed turning” program.
Those attending the show were asked to vote for their favorites. Winners were the Bond County Home and Community Education group for best hand quilted quilt, Loretta Pezold for best machine quilted quilt, Nadine Baldwin for best wall/baby quilt and Shirley Barth for best antique quilt.
Quilt block contest winners were introduced at the end of the quilt show. Receiving first place honors were Lucy Bowers in the 5 to 8 age group, Lauren Boehm in the 9 to 12 age group, Paige House in the 13 to 18 age group, and Jan Eyman in the adult division.
The theme of the contest was Greenville’s Bicentennial.
