Accident With Injuries On Interstate 70

Traffic on Interstate 70 was stopped for several hours Thursday afternoon due to an accident.

According to Illinois State Police Trooper Calvin Dye, two semi trucks and a car were involved in an accident Thursday, at 3:16 p.m., in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at the 24 mile marker. One person was ARCHed to a St. Louis area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The name of the injured person has not been released.

The westbound lanes were reopened at 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
