Bond County Now Referring Veterans To Third Judicial Circuit Veterans Court


Bond County State’s Attorney Chris Bauer advised the Bond County Board this week that the county will now be involved in referring veterans to the Third Judicial Circuit’s Veteran’s Court.

Originated in December of 2008 by Bond County native Judge Charles Romani, Veteran’s Court has been very successful in Madison County and has been recognized nationally.

The state’s attorney said most cases addressed by the veteran’s court involve illegal use of drugs and alcohol. Click below to hear more:

Veteran’s court prosecutors in Madison County will handle the cases for Bond County veterans referred to the program. The Bond County Board has approved those prosecutors to serve as assistant state’s attorneys for the county.
