Greenville College President On Growth Initiatives

Greenville College recently announced a pending reduction in force at the school. On June 1, officials expect to announce the elimination of approximately one dozen support staff roles.

GC President Dr. Ivan Filby told WGEL that in addition to tough decisions regarding staffing, the college is working on several growth initiatives. Click below to hear more:

In addition to recent and upcoming efforts, the college reports 20 months of concerted campus-wide cost-cutting efforts, reduction in non-salary budgets by $3 million dollars over the past two years, nearly $1 million in open positions that will not be filled next year, review of the costs associated with retaining programs with low enrollment, review of outsourcing options, and reorganization of the college’s senior administrative leadership team.
