Greenville Library Director Gives Roof Project Update

The Greenville Public Library Board met in special session last week to continue discussions about a new roof for the historic building.
A decision was made about proceeding with the bidding of roof materials and the warranty for a new roof.

The project for the entire roof, including the dome, will include replacement of the current shingles with higher quality asphalt shingles. A cupola is also planned to be installed at the top of the dome.

Library Director Mike Westbrooks told WGEL more about the roof project.

An anonymous donor is providing the funding for the cupola. Westbrooks said the estimated cost for it is $45,000.
