The Bond County Sheriff’s department has issued a statement on the rash of day time home burglaries that have been happening during the past several weeks.
The statement says that homes along the frontage roads of Interstate 70 seem to be the targets. The sheriff’s department asks that if you see anything suspicious to call the police right away, and also to try and remember any distinguishing features of either the vehicle or person you have seen. It’s also advised that if you see a suspicious person that you not try to approach them. If your home is broken into police ask that you call right away and not disturb the crime scene before they can arrive.
