STL Man Charged With Murder Of Missing SIUE Student

Taylor S. Clark

A St. Louis man has been arrested in the case of 19 year old Taylor S. Clark, of St. Jacob, the SIUE student who was first reported missing on Monday.

A spokesman for the Major Case Squad in Hazelwood told WGEL 24 year old Michael Gordon has been charged with First Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Activity.

The charges alleged that Gordon killed Clark in the parking lot of a truck driving school on Missouri Bottom Road, which was where Clark’s vehicle was found Tuesday. His body was found a short time later, 400 feet from the vehicle. Authorities say Gordon killed Clark on his lunch break, attempted to hide the body, then went back to work.

Clark was offering his red 2007 Nissan 350ZX for sale on Craigslist, and was last seen in Glen Carbon as he was leaving to meet with Gordon regarding the sale.

He had just taken a final exam, paid tuition and met with his girlfriend before his disappearance.
