Carlyle Man Sentenced For Aggravated Battery Of A Child

David Jordan, age 27, of Carlyle, pleaded guilty in Clinton County Circuit Court to charges of aggravated battery to a child and criminal damage to property.

He was sentenced to 150 days in the county jail, fined $1,000, given a 30-month probation term,

Jordan admitted to the battery of his girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter on January 12 at a Carlyle bank. He was arrested at the scene by police. It was also alleged Jordan damaged a door at the bank.
