City Of Greenville To Begin Spraying For Mosquitoes

Greenville City Workers will be spraying for mosquitoes in the evenings. The ultra-low-volume truck-mounted fogging units dispense about 1-2 ounces of insecticide per acre. The units dispense very fine aerosol droplets that kill mosquitoes on contact. Although the spray kills mosquitoes in the treated area, it does not prevent them from returning.

You should continue to take precautions against being bitten by mosquitoes. For more information about mosquito spraying in Greenville, call Public Works Director Bill Grider at 664-1644.
