According to the May report from the Greenville Police Department, officers handled one battery case, investigated one burglary from a motor vehicle, responded to two reports of criminal damage to property, and were called for one instance of possession or delivery of illegal drugs.
There were eight uninsured motorist violations, one arrest for illegal transportation or possession of alcohol, 19 driver’s license violations, 12 speeding tickets, 12 seat belt infractions, and nine other traffic violations.
Officers made 61 traffic arrests, eight criminal arrests, and two ordinance arrests.
They responded to 15 traffic accidents three of which had injuries.
Local fire district personnel responded to 97 calls.
