Tuesday is the final day for Jeff Strieker to serve as superintendent of the Bond County Community Unit 2 school district.
He is leaving to become superintendent in the Litchfield school district.
Strieker has been in Unit 2 for the past eight years, the first two as business manager and the last six as superintendent.
He told WGEL he is proud of being associated with the Unit 2 district.
Wes Olson of Mt. Vernon will become the new superintendent, beginning Wednesday. An interview with Strieker will air after the 12:05 Bond County Area News this Sunday on WGEL’s Public Affairs program.
