Bond County Fair Queen, Junior Miss Candidates Preparing for Pageant

The Bond County Fair is quickly approaching and rehearsals are underway for the queen, Junior Miss and Little Miss pageants. One change this year is the Little Miss event will be held at the same time as the talent show, at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31.

The Junior Miss and Miss Bond County Fair Queen pageant will take place Monday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m.

20 girls will participate in the Little Miss event. There are seven candidates apiece in the Junior Miss and fair queen competitions.

Girls vying for title of Fair Queen include Kennedy Cherry of Greenville, Dani File of Greenville, Megan House of Greenville, Caity Blankenship of Mulberry Grove, Kayley Woker of Greenville, Tarren Hogue of Sorento, and Odessa Stief of Mulberry Grove.

Junior Miss candidates include Anne Ennen of Greenville, Hannah Albert of Mulberry Grove, Jencie Lynaugh of Mulberry Grove, Angela Steiner of Mulberry Grove, Kennedy Quick of Mulberry Grove, Olivia McGuire of Greenville, and Brianna Ulmer of Greenville.

Kelli Mollett is the reigning Miss Bond County Fair and Shelbi McCray was crowned the fair’s first Junior Miss last year.

Earnest said rehearsals have been underway for several weeks.

All pageants and the talent show will be held at the grandstand. The Bond County Fair is July 30 through August 4.
