Mulberry Grove Board Of Education Settles Principal Position

Following a closed session at the Mulberry Grove Board of Education meeting Monday, the board extended the contract for new Elementary School Principal Bobby Koontz and decided to have Superintendent Brad Turner and Koontz share the responsibility of the position of Junior High/High School Principal. The board hired Tom Fulton part-time music teacher, accepted the resignation of Emily Thomas girl’s softball coach, and recalled three teacher aids and a part-time cook.

Superintendent Brad Turner said the district received categorical state aid payments for transportation and special education but the funds were received in July instead of June, which was the end of the 2014-2015 fiscal year. Turner also said due to tax bills being mailed late this year, he expects the first payments of district tax funds will be received about a month later than usual in mid to late September.
