Rt. 127 Work Suspended Due To State Budget Stalemate

Local residents might have noticed that improvements to Illinois Rt. 127 have stopped.

Bill Grider, Greenville public works superintendent, said he learned from the Illinois Department of Transportation that the state project had been put on hold due to the Illinois budget situation.

Grider told WGEL this week that IDOT has announced the money to complete the project has been released and work should resume in August.

Rt. 127 through Greenville will be resurfaced.
