Tourism Committee Approves Two Requests

The Greenville Tourism Committee met recently and approved two funding requests.

The group favored providing $750 for Greenville Airport’s AirStravaganza, scheduled for September 12.

In addition, the American Farm Heritage Museum’s Heritage Days was given $2,000 for the three day event.

Tourism funds must be used for advertising and promotion of the events.

It was the last meeting for John Goldsmith, as the city’s tourism director. He has resigned to take another job. Tourism Committee members praised Goldsmith for his work during the past four years as the tourism director.
