Unemployment Rates Down In All Illinois Metro Areas

According to the Illinois Department of Employment Security and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, May was the fifteenth month in a row that unemployment rates fell in every metro area in Illinois.

The unemployment rate in the Illinois Section of the St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area dropped from 6.9% in May 2014 to 5.2% in May 2015.

In Bond County, unemployment fell 1.8% from 6.3 – 4.5 during the period May 2014 – May 2015. The Clinton County rate fell 1.3%, Madison County 1.5%, and St. Clair County 1.9%.
