Bond County Unit 2 School District personnel are reminding the public that Dewey Street, near the Greenville Elementary School remains closed to traffic. Barricades are up during work on Dewey Street, but occasionally the barricades are moved aside, to allow construction vehicles to pass.
A spokesperson told WGEL that when those barricades are moved aside, the road is still closed to motorists, pedestrians, and bicycles.
Dewey Street will remain closed for repairs until further notice.
