The Clinton County Relay for Life is Friday, August 7. The event is open to the public from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at Central Community High School.
The event kicks off with the Survivor Dinner at 3:30 p.m. Following dinner, the Survivor’s Walk begins at 6:00 p.m.
The Luminaria ceremony will begin after dusk to remember the loved ones lost and the Relay event will continue until midnight when the Team Awards will be presented. Teams will have various activities to participate in to earn spirit points to win the coveted Pink Flamingo trophy.
This year at the Relay event, hair stylists will be available for those who would like to donate hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign. Those that do not have enough hair to donate can receive a haircut and style for a donation towards the relay. For more information, contact Maria Hemann at 526-2641.
Shuttles will be provided from Mater Dei High School and Aviston Grade School parking lots from 3:00 p.m. until after midnight to bring participants to and from the Relay for Life event.
