Clydesdales To Appear In Bicentennial Parade

The Anheuser Busch Clydesdales are coming to Greenville.

The Clydesdales will be in the Greenville Bicentennial Parade the afternoon of September 6. They are being sponsored by Donnewald Distributing of Greenville.

Rex Catron, chairman of the Bicentennial Committee, said it is exciting the world-famous horses will be in the parade. He said a full hitch of horses will be in Greenville for the occasion and noted that attendees will have the chance to watch crews get the horses hitched before the parade and unhitched when it’s done.

The Clydesdales are expected to arrive in Greenville about 1:30 p.m. and will prepare for the parade on the St. Lawrence Catholic Church parking lot.

Mike Donnewald, president of Donnewald Distributing, said “It was a pleasure to extend the invitation and work with Anheuser Busch in making arrangements for the Clydesdales hitch to join in the bicentennial activities. Greenville has welcomed our distribution center, and this community is now the home base of our company.”
