Kingsbury Park District Purchases Land For New Park

The Kingsbury Park District plans to develop a new, small park at property it purchased this month.

The park board agreed to pay $6,000 for the lot on the northwest corner of the intersection of Fourth Street and Winter Avenue, across from the Hoiles Davis Museum. The seller was Caleb Thompson.

Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein told WGEL the park won’t be complete for a year. He said the park will establish a KPD presence on the west side of Greenville. Click below to hear more:

The park district contributes some operating funds each year to the Hoiles Davis Museum, operated by the Bond County Historical Society.
