Pana Lake Drowning Victim Identified As 26 Year old Vandalia Man

A Vandalia man has been identified as the drowning victim found in Pana Lake last week. Authorities were notified about 7:30 p.m. on August 4 of a body floating on Pana Lake.

Christian County Coroner Amy Winans identified the body as that of 26 year old Duston Conway, of Vandalia. Winans said preliminary results of an autopsy showed drowning as the cause of death.

The case is being investigated by Winans, Illinois State Police and the Christian County state’s attorney’s office.
