The Greenville Board of Police Commissioners met Wednesday afternoon with the development of a police eligibility list being the main topic of discussion.
The period for pre-employment applications expired with 20 persons filing applications. Police commissioners reviewed the applications and had questions whether or not four of the individuals complied with the legal guidelines.
An orientation session for those who qualify will be held Wednesday night.
Applicants are required to attend the orientation in order to proceed with the process.
Commissioners decided to offer candidates the physical agility test on September 19 and the written tests will be offered on September 23 and 26.
The police board will meet on October 13 to certify the new eligibility list, which will be good for two years.
The current list expires on October 20.
