Rt. 127 Work Continues In Greenville

As scheduled, work has resumed on the IL Rt. 127 improvement project. Crews worked on Mill Hill Thursday and conducted milling and resurfacing work along Third Street Friday. Traffic on Third Street was restricted to one lane for much of the day.

The project stretches from Sale Barn Avenue near I-70, along Harris Avenue, north up Third Street, down the hill on College Avenue, to Patriot’s Park just west of town.

IDOT has said the roadway will never be totally closed, but you can expect to continue to see periodic lane closures at various spots along Rt. 127.

IDOT expects to wrap up the project in September.
