Trial Set For Alleged Armed Robbery/Shooting In Aviston

A jury trial has been scheduled for the week of November 9 for James Blair of Trenton, who faces charges in Clinton County Circuit Court in connection with an armed robbery and shooting that occurred in Aviston on April 25.

Blair is charged with alleged armed robbery, aggravated battery, attempted aggravated battery, aggravated assault and reckless conduct.

It’s alleged by the state’s attorney that the defendant took about $400 and designer jeans, and discharged a firearm, shooting a 27-year-old man in the leg. The shooting victim survived.

The state also alleges Blair pointed the gun at two other people, pulling the trigger with the intent to injure them.

Blair has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held in the Clinton County Jail.
