Bicentennial To Wrap Up With Gala

Greenville’s Bicentennial celebration which began with a blast-off last New Year’s Eve will conclude with a gala this New Year’s Eve. The semi-formal event will be held December 31 at Greenville College’s Armington Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. The Dueling Hobbits, a combo from St. Louis featuring two pianists, will perform.

The evening will allow everyone the opportunity to reflect on Greenville’s history and the Bicentennial celebration. At midnight a toast will be made to Greenville’s prosperous future.

Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple and may be purchased in advance at Sweetest Things, Bradford National Bank, Watson’s Drug Store, or the Bicentennial Store at Third Street Market. Those wishing to only attend The Dueling Hobbits performance may purchase tickets for $15 after 8:30 p.m. at the door.
