The Bond County Humane Society’s 12th annual Paws In the Park is this Saturday, September 19 at Patriot’s Park.
Society representative Rachel Hundsdorfer told WGEL the event is very important to the organization as it provides a great deal of their funding.

Hundsdorfer said the annual Pet Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and dog contests will follow at 11:00 a.m. Several new contests have been added this year. Pet photos will be available. There will also be a large silent auction.

Registration for the pet contests begins at 9:00 a.m. A police K-9 demonstration is scheduled for 10:30. Paws In The Park will be held rain or shine and ends at 3:00 p.m.
