A popular attraction at the Paws In The Park event on September 19 was a demonstration presented by Bond County Deputy Dave Dunn and his police dog, Bade (pronounced “Buddy”).
A large audience watched the demonstration. Deputy Dunn was assisted by Pocahontas Police Chief Geno Feazel.
The police dog found narcotics hidden on a parked vehicle, and Dunn demonstrated how the dog obeys his orders to subdue a suspect.
Dunn believes demonstrations of the K-9 unit are important to show the public the capabilities of the dog.
