Downtown Greenville is very colorful today with red, white and blue bunting on store fronts, put up by Public Works employees.

Bill Grider, superintendent of public works, said there is a lot of work to be done before Saturday and Sunday‚Äôs Bicentennial celebration. He told us the bunting will be a two-day project. Many “no parking” signs have to be put up Friday. Parking lots are being cleaned up and prepared. Grider also said there is a lot of mowing and general clean-up going on all around town. Crews have been working overtime to get ready for the celebration.
